New to W.E.B Du Bois College House in 2004 is the Critical Writing Fellow in Residence Program. The Critical Writing Fellow in Residence is a highly competitive award designed to support advanced graduate students in their professional development as teachers, writers, and advisors. The Critical Writing Fellow in Residence will reside in a designated College House and teach one Critical Writing seminar each term, using the content of their particular interests. Seminars are capped at 16 students.

The Critical Writing Fellow in Residence will also facilitate writing support and tutoring for residents, with a particular focus on first-year students in the College House. Critical Writing Fellows will participate in College House training and activities along with other graduate student, faculty, and staff members in the College House.
