Hello and welcome to W.E.B. Du Bois College House’s Consciousness in Black Film program (CBF)! The Consciousness in Black Film program is one of the newest and most fascinating programs in the college house. The program aims to provide exciting, yet intellectually stimulating discussion around the depiction of blacks in film, representations of blackness in film, the production and dissemination of black film, the interpretation of black film, and many other issues and concerns related to awareness in black film.

With a host of wonderful interactive activities planned, the director and the CBF program members will embark upon a fun-filled journey discussing these and other relevant questions.

In Du Bois I am the Graduate Associate for the East Side of the 4th floor (Room 404) and the 2006-2007 Director of Consciousness in Black Film Program. I am excited to watch several excellent films with program participants. My door is open not only to these participants but to anyone in the house who wants to talk!
