Ashley A. Mapp completed her B.A. in Business Spanish from Hampton University in 2009 and is also a graduate of premier independent Friends schools in Philadelphia, The William Penn Charter School. Currently, she is pursuing her Masters at the School of Social Policy and Practice at the University of Pennsylvania.

As a social Gemini, Ashley loves to multitask and devote herself to many projects because she never wants to experience a dull day! While school and her GA associate position are her most important priorities, Ashley makes time to do an internet radio show on the University of Pennsylvania's Student Radio network,WQHS.org.

Ashley is not your typical radio personality. At the age of 5 years old, you could find her in the "time out" corner for incessant talking. But now, she gets to be talkative without repercussions on "Mapping the City" radio show.

"Mapping the City" radio show is dedicated to providing news about events going on in the University City area and Philadelphia as a whole. The show also covers celebrity gossip and plays the latest in urban music.

Ashley Mapp is passionate about her education and her extra-curricular activities.  She was a member of the Hampton University Relay for Life Team where she is the chair of Recruitment.   She was Senator of the Student Government Association, a member of Colleges Against Cancer. As a fervent believer in performing community service, Ashley has held a variety of positions during the summer that have helped to broaden her scope.

Ashley has taught inner city youngsters at Freedom School in Philadelphia.  She has been an intern in the Office of the General Council at the University of Pennsylvania and she has been a researcher for the Netter Center for Community Partnerships also at the University of Pennsylvania.

Ashley Mapp and her family reside in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
