Carrie Barjenbruch was born and raised in Sioux Falls, SD. Upon her high school graduation she moved to Minneapolis to begin school at the University of Minnesota. There she began her college career studying civil engineering, but realized that this was not her calling. She was drawn to Women's Studies, and eventually graduated with a degree in Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies. She stayed at the University of MN, assisting the director of Building Services for several years while continuing her education through classes at the University of MN.
Carrie then took a chance and decided to move to Prague, CZ to teach English. In a wild twist of fate, she ended up bartending, and after 7 months decided to move back to the United States. She is now living in West Philadelphia with her wonderful husband, Ted, and is planning on continuing her education here at the University of Pennsylvania. In her position as House Coordinator, Carrie hopes to make life at the W.E.B. Du Bois College House as pleasant as possible. If you ever have any questions please don't hesitate to talk to her. |
