Joseph Larkin, beginning his third year as the Du Bois house Senior Fellow, is originally from Savannah, GA. He received his BS in Microbiology and PhD in Immunology from the University of Florida. Joseph is currently studying mechanisms that govern immune system function as a postdoctoral fellow at the Wistar Institute, an affiliate of the University of Pennsylvania.
Joseph resides on the second floor of the Du Bois college house with his wife Maisha. Joseph and Maisha, a current employee of HUP, will help provide a link between the professional world and everyday student life. Very accessible, Joseph and Maisha can be easily engaged in conversations ranging from college life - to their devotion to God- to the complexities and joys of raising their child. In addition to their participation in many of the house events, Joseph and Maisha will be directly involved in providing Du Bois residents with access to current professionals from many different disciplines, allowing them to interact with persons in their future careers.
