Du Bois Runs w/ Dra. Amalia

What:

When: Mondays & Wednesdays - 6:25 am - 7:25 am 

Where: Meet at the Du Bois House Lobby 

Who: All Du Bois students are welcome to participate '

Join Dra Amalia Dache for morning runs at sunrise (or 6:25 am) 

Research indicates that running regulary at a moderate or vigorous pace can enhance mental health, memory, and learning ability. Additionally, outdoor running may offer extra advantages, such as alleviating feelings of loneliness and isolation, reducing stress, and aiding with depression and anxiety. 

How far and how long: 

- We will run for approximately 1 - hour

- We will run to Penn Park (~1 mile) 

- Students have the option to walk/jog/run around the trail of the Park (~1 mile) from one to three times 

- We will start together but may not finish together, students have the option to return to Du Bois from Penn Park after 1 mile. 

- Dra. Dache will jog/run for 4 miles and return to Du Bois College House from Penn Park. 

- Dra Dache does not run fast, she jogs at a slow to medium pace, which is comfortable for beginners.
