Radical Self-Care: Mutual Aid and Collective Care with Clarice Brazas

What:

Radical Self-Care is a W.E.B. Du Bois College House biweekly series hosted by Dr. Krystal Strong where we explore the intersections of social justice & self and collective care with activists and cultural workers.

On Sunday 4/18, we will be joined by Clarice Brazas. Clarice (she/her) is an award-winning English and Special Education teacher in the Philadelphia School District, currently in her thirteenth year of teaching. She is an organizer with the Racial Justice Organizing Committee, which in 2017 established BLM at Schools Week, which is now a national campaign and movement. Clarice is also an organizer with Groceries For Philly, which was formed during the 2020 Uprising and brings free groceries and personal care items directly to Philadelphia communities.

Join us in conversation on Facebook Live every other Sunday at 5 PM. #restANDstaywoke
