Diego is a second year Master of Architecture student at the Weitzman School of Design. He was born in Lima, Peru and grew up in the suburbs of Chicago before attending Vassar College where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies. Within academia, Diego is most interested in researching informal and indigenous placemaking practices and understanding how the architectural discipline can learn from communities that create these practices in non-extractive, counter exploitative ways. When Diego is not in the architecture studio he can be found exercising, watercolor painting, singing poorly, cooking, or listening to reggaetón.
