Keyana Parks is an ABD PhD student in the English Literature Department at the University of Pennsylvania. Her research interests include 20th and 21st century African American literature, cultural production, and media, specifically focusing on Black humor and satire. She currently serves as co-president of Fontaine Society.

Keyana grew up in Baltimore, Maryland, the second oldest in a family of six. Upon graduation from Baltimore City College HS in 2006, she moved to Atlanta, GA to attend the illustrious Spelman College. She matriculated from Spelman in 2010 with a B.A. in English. Keyana then joined the 2010 Houston Teach for America Corps and taught reading at Hogg Middle School for three years.
