Eat Cafe Visit & Dinner

What:

Join GA Lydia in visiting local non-profit "Eat Cafe" to learn about their mission to eradicate hunger in Philadelphia.

"THE EAT (EVERYONE AT THE TABLE) CAFÉ IS A NONPROFIT, PAY-WHAT-YOU-CAN CAFÉ THAT NOURISHES, EDUCATES, AND UNITES COMMUNITY IN A WELCOMING ENVIRONMENT. THE CAFÉ IS A COLLABORATION AMONG THE CENTER FOR HUNGER-FREE COMMUNITIES AND THE CENTER FOR HOSPITALITY AND SPORT MANAGEMENT AT DREXEL UNIVERSITY, VETRI COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP AND THE GREATER WEST PHILADELPHIA COMMUNITY." To learn more about how the organization works, check out their website here:  http://www.eatcafe.org/about-us/how-it-works

We will leave DuBois at 5.30pm, walk to the cafe (about a 12 minute walk to 38th and Lancaster), check out the Cafe's "Witness to Hunger" exhibit and then have dinner at the restaurant. Their menus are seasonal and change weekly.

Please sign up by emailing Lydia at lpaver@sas.upenn.edu so that reservations can be made.
