Radical Self-Care: Practicing Mindfulness and Social Care with Raekwon Burton

What:

Radical Self-Care is a W.E.B. Du Bois College House biweekly series hosted by Dr. Krystal Strong where we explore the intersections of social justice & self and collective care with activists and cultural workers.

This Sunday we are joined by Raekwon Burton. Raekwon (he/him) is a recent alum of Penn, where he received a Master's in Social Work. He is a clinical social worker and approaches therapy through a decolonization lens, which values the thoughts, opinions, and experiences of marginalized folks. Raekwon has been a certified mindfulness instructor for the last seven years and is an urban farmer, so mediation and nature exploration are an integral component of his approach.

Join us in conversation on Facebook Live every other Sunday at 5 PM. #restANDstaywoke
